Mezan The Unaltered Rum Jamaica 2010 46% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an authentic Jamaica rum that impressively reflects the purist style of the renowned Mezan The Unaltered Rum series. The Mezan Rum brand stands for a limited collection of carefully selected bottlings designed to preserve the original character of Caribbean rums. All rums in this range are bottled without added sugar, colouring or chill filtration and are matured exclusively in barrels until they have reached their optimum maturity. As a result, this Caribbean rum is particularly authentic and unadulterated.


This single origin Jamaica rum was distilled at the famous Monymusk Distillery in Clarendon Parish. Production is based on molasses, while distillation takes place in modern column stills. This aged Jamaica rum was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022, giving it an age of 12 years. Maturation takes place in ex-bourbon barrels and takes place in two phases: First, the rum is aged in tropical conditions in Jamaica, before the second maturation phase takes place in Europe in refill bourbon barrels. This combination ensures a good balance between a strong distillate and elegant barrel maturation. The bottling is also limited to 5,500 bottles worldwide, making this limited edition Jamaica rum particularly interesting for collectors and lovers of authentic rums.

Nose: Intense, tropical fruit, banana, pineapple, vanilla, fine spices.
