The Glenturret 14 Years Old PEAT Smoked Release 2025 is an exclusive Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 48 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. This bottling is part of the 2025 Annual Release from the historic The Glenturret Distillery and is available exclusively through the distillery. It is also the oldest peated whisky in the current core range and is one of the distillery’s last original peated bottlings, as The Glenturret will be discontinuing the production of peated new makes in future.

For this special edition, the whisky is matured for 14 years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which lend it exceptional depth and complexity. The combination of dark sherry fruits, mature oak and gentle peated smoke creates a harmonious interplay of sweetness, spice and smoke. The elegant Highland character is preserved throughout and is perfectly complemented by the intense influences of the sherry casks. The 2025 Release epitomises the traditional craftsmanship of Scotland’s oldest distillery still in operation and is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate complex, balanced and elegantly peated single malt Scotch whiskies.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber.

Nose: Dried fruit, toffee apple, gingerbread, subtle peat smoke and sweet woody spices.

Palate: Aniseed, syrup, dark oak, peaty smoke and spicy sherry notes with balanced sweetness.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and smoky with dark oak, spices and gentle peat smoke.

The Glenturret 14 Years Old PEAT Smoked Release 2025 reveals its flavours best when enjoyed neat or with a few drops of still water. It pairs superbly with smoked salmon, duck breast, dry-aged beef steak, rack of lamb, game dishes or mushroom risotto. It also goes excellently with mature Cheddar, Comté, blue cheese or Parmesan. As a dessert accompaniment, we recommend pairing it with dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate fondant, dates or figs, which bring out the sherry cask maturation and the elegant smoky notes particularly well.
