Faer Isles Reipatari Dry Gin is a characterful dry gin from the Faroe Islands, whose recipe draws inspiration from the rugged maritime environment of the North Atlantic. The botanical that gives it its name is the locally harvested Reipatari seaweed (Himanthalia elongata). Following trials with various types of seaweed, this variety was selected for its nutty, fresh character. The seaweed lends the gin a subtle oceanic and maritime note without overpowering the classic gin character. The recipe is complemented by, amongst other things, rhubarb and other botanicals, creating freshness and a balanced profile. The use of local seaweed also highlights the close connection between Faer Isles Gin and its North Atlantic origins.


Reipatari Dry Gin is produced on the Faroe Islands using artisanal methods and in small batches. Particular emphasis is placed on regional character and the use of sustainably locally cultivated Reiptari seaweed as a natural botanical. The spirit also contains no artificial colourings. At 42.8 per cent, the gin has sufficient body for enjoying it neat and for creating high-quality gin cocktails, whilst the maritime aromas are deliberately kept subtle and balanced.
