Bermudez Ron Dominicano Superior BLANCO is a white rum from the Dominican Republic, characterised by a barrel ageing process that is remarkable for a blanco rum. Unlike unaged white rums, this bottling is first allowed to mature in American oak barrels. This is followed by a finish in French oak casks that were previously used for ageing Bordeaux wine. Casks with varying degrees of toasting – ranging from medium to heavy – are used for this process. This combination of American oak and French oak Bordeaux wine casks lends the spirit additional structure and barrel complexity before it acquires its characteristically clear appearance. With an alcohol content of 37.5 per cent, Bermudez Superior Blanco is bottled in a 0.7-litre bottle.


Once barrel ageing is complete, Bermudez Superior Blanco is carefully filtered to achieve a particularly high level of purity and its crystal-clear appearance. As a result, the rum combines the mature character of a barrel-aged spirit with the light appearance of a classic blanco. Behind this bottling is Bermúdez, a long-established Dominican rum brand whose history is closely linked to the country’s rum culture. The combination of ageing in American oak, a Bordeaux cask finish and subsequent filtration sets this Ron Dominicano Blanco apart from simpler white rums. Thanks to its smooth character, it is suitable both for drinking neat and as a high-quality base for classic rum cocktails and long drinks.
