Tasting Note

Colour: Ranges from pale gold to dark amber, depending on the bottling.

Nose: Complex, with fruity, malty, spicy, smoky and oaky aromas.

Palate: Varied and complex, with a range of cereal, fruit, spice and cask notes.

Finish: Depending on the whisky blend, ranging from soft and fruity to robust, spicy and long-lasting.

The 24 whisky samples are ideal for a daily tasting during the Advent season and, depending on the bottling, should be tasted at around 18–20 °C in the accompanying nosing glass. For whiskies with a higher alcohol content, a few drops of still water can help to bring out additional flavours. Unsalted nuts, mild bread or dark chocolate make for neutral accompaniments. Thanks to the accompanying booklet and the international selection, the calendar is also perfect for group whisky tastings and as a Christmas present for whisky lovers.
