Mintis BLACKCURRANT Gin 41.8% ABV 0.7 l, also known as Mintis Ribesa Gin, is a fruit-forward premium Italian gin from Piedmont that combines the intense aromas of blackcurrants with traditional gin botanicals. It is produced by Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, a family-run business led by Carlo Vergnano and his family. The recipe combines a 100% natural fruit infusion of blackcurrants with hand-picked Italian juniper, regional herbs from Piedmont and a subtle hint of mint. Mintis BLACKCURRANT Gin contains no added sugar or colourings; it is vegan, gluten-free and free from genetically modified ingredients. Bottled at 41.8% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle, this variant is sold together with a gift box and a matching gin glass.


It is produced at Torino Distillati under the supervision of experienced master distiller Denis Muni. A hallmark of the Mintis brand is its gentle vacuum distillation process, in which the botanicals are distilled for over eight hours at just 60 °C to preserve their natural flavours as much as possible. The combination of Italian distilling expertise, regional botanicals and natural fruit infusion gives this gin speciality its distinctive character. Tasting Note

Colour: Clear to slightly fruity in hue.

Nose: An intense aroma of sun-ripened blackcurrants, accompanied by fresh mint, delicate juniper and subtle herbal notes.

Palate: Fruity and harmonious, with juicy blackcurrant, hints of blackcurrant sorbet, aromatic juniper and a touch of mint.

Finish: Long-lasting, fresh and fruity, with delicate berry flavours and a pleasant hint of juniper.

Mintis BLACKCURRANT Gin is particularly well-suited to a fruity gin and tonic, where classic tonic water brings out the flavours of blackcurrants and fresh mint. Red berries and fresh mint leaves make for an attractive garnish in the accompanying gin glass. To make a Ribes Nero Bramble, shake two parts Mintis Ribesa, one part grenadine and half a part fresh lime juice with ice, then strain over fresh ice. Garnished with raspberries and mint, the result is a fruity cocktail that is particularly well-suited to summer occasions and convivial evenings.
