Deadhead Rum 40% ABV is a distinctive rum from Mexico that is highly recognisable not only for its character but, above all, for its unusual bottle design featuring a shrunken head motif. It is produced by blending rums made from sugar cane juice and molasses. Various distillation methods are employed before the distillates are transferred to oak casks for ageing. Deadhead Rum thus combines different rum styles to create a unique blend. The bottle’s design draws on motifs and legends surrounding the South American tradition of the so-called ‘tsantsas’, making this bottling a striking centrepiece in any spirits collection.

With an alcohol content of 40 per cent, Deadhead Rum is well-balanced and versatile. Finish: Pleasantly long-lasting and spicy, with vanilla, dark fruit and a gentle, lingering hint of oak.

Deadhead Rum can be served neat at around 18–20 °C or with a single ice cube. It pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, caramelised banana or desserts featuring vanilla and dried fruit. Its spicy-sweet profile also lends itself well to classic rum cocktails and stronger tiki drinks.
