Rumbullion! Premium Spirit Drink 42.6% is a characterful rum-based spirit that combines robust Caribbean rum with a rich blend of vanilla, orange and warm spices. Rumbullion! was developed by Ableforth’s, with the recipe deliberately evoking the aromatic, full-bodied spirits associated with historic seafaring. It is based on a blend of robust Caribbean rum, refined with Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cassia cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. This creates a rich, spicy profile in which sweet citrus and creamy vanilla meet darker spicy notes. The design also reflects the maritime theme: the bottle is wrapped in paper, tied with cord and sealed with black wax.

At 42.6% ABV, Rumbullion! Premium Spirit Drink has enough strength to clearly carry the intense spice and citrus aromas. The combination of vanilla, Seville orange peel, cinnamon and cloves in particular defines its distinctive character, whilst cardamom adds extra depth and a slightly cola-like spicy accent. It is precisely this aromatic richness that makes this 0.7-litre rum-based spirit with spices an interesting alternative to classic, unflavoured rums. It is suitable both for drinking neat and for robust long drinks and cocktails where a sweet, spicy profile with distinct notes of orange and vanilla is required.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold to amber.

Nose: Intense, with sweet vanilla, flambéed orange peel and cardamom, accompanied by cloves, cinnamon and ethereal notes of Seville orange.

Palate: Full-bodied and spicy with bitter orange marmalade, cinnamon and Manuka honey, complemented by treacle, toffee apple, crème brûlée and clove-infused orange.

Finish: Long-lasting and spicy with cinnamon, orange and creamy vanilla.

The Rumbullion! Premium Spirit Drink is particularly well suited for enjoying neat, on the rocks or with a splash of fresh lime. It pairs particularly well with dark chocolate, spiced cake, caramelised nuts or orange-based desserts. The vanilla, orange and spices also come into their own in a rum-based Old Fashioned or a wintery hot drink. For a simpler long drink, ginger ale or cola harmonise well with the robust, spicy profile.
