Description
The Clontarf 1014 CLASSIC BLEND Irish Whiskey 40% vol. 0.7 l is a traditional blended Irish whiskey that combines Irish whiskey culture with modern craftsmanship. This bottling is named after the famous Battle of Clontarf in 1014, in which the Irish High King Brian Ború defeated the Vikings at Dublin, thereby becoming one of the most significant figures in Irish history. The Clontarf 1014, also known as the Black Label, embodies the classic style of an Irish blend and impresses with its exceptional smoothness and versatile character. The elegant 0.7 l bottle is ideal both for enjoying neat and for classic whisky cocktails.
The Clontarf 1014 Classic Blend is produced at the renowned Midleton Distillery in Cork. It is based on selected distillates made from barley, maize and pure Irish spring water. Following the traditional triple distillation process, the whisky is matured for four years in charred bourbon casks, during which time it develops its harmonious structure and delicate notes of vanilla and wood. The distillates are then filtered through Atlantic Oak charcoal, which further enhances its remarkable purity and smoothness. The blend consists of around 15 per cent single malt whisky and carefully selected grain whiskies, combining traditional Irish characteristics with a modern, balanced flavour profile.
