The distillery, founded in the 19th century, is renowned for its expertise in rum production and guarantees the authenticity of this rum with a government-issued authenticity seal on every bottle. The name ‘Caney’ comes from the language of the indigenous Taíno people and means ‘hut’, which underlines its close connection to Cuban culture and history.

This rum is aged for three years in carefully selected oak casks, giving it a distinctive smoothness and a harmonious flavour profile. Its mild character makes it an excellent choice both neat and in classic cocktails. Ageing in oak imparts gentle notes of vanilla and caramel, which perfectly round off its delicate structure.
