No. 3 London Dry Gin was developed by Berry Bros. & Rudd, a long-established London-based wine and spirits merchant, with the aim of creating a classic and exceptionally well-balanced London Dry Gin for sophisticated cocktails. It took around two years to develop the recipe, a process involving, amongst others, the Master Distiller, experienced bartenders and Dr David Clutton. The gin is produced in the Netherlands in a historic, brick-clad copper still that is around 100 years old. It is based on wheat spirit, which is distilled together with a deliberately limited selection of just six botanicals.


The recipe for No. 3 Gin focuses on three key elements: juniper, citrus fruits and spices. Juniper is clearly at the heart of the classic London Dry profile, whilst citrus notes provide freshness and selected spices add structure and depth. In accordance with the requirements for a London Dry Gin, no additional botanicals or artificial flavourings are added after distillation to alter the flavour. With a robust 46% ABV in the 0.7-litre bottle, No. 3 was specifically developed with classic gin drinks in mind. The precisely balanced blend of botanicals and the traditional, dry style make it a versatile premium gin, particularly suited to a gin and tonic or a dry Martini.

Nose: Clean and fresh with pronounced juniper, lively citrus notes and subtly integrated spice.

Palate: Dry, precise and well-balanced with robust juniper, fresh citrus fruit and a structured, spicy element.

Finish: Long-lasting, dry and fresh with juniper, citrus zest and a subtle, lingering spiciness.

No. 3 London Dry Gin has been specially designed for classic gin cocktails and is ideal for a Dry Martini, where its dry juniper character and robust 46% ABV really come into their own. It is also ideal for a classic gin and tonic with a dry tonic water and a twist of lemon or grapefruit. Its balanced blend of juniper, citrus and spices also provides a solid base for a Negroni, Gimlet or Tom Collins. Culinary pairings include oysters, seafood, smoked salmon or light Mediterranean starters.
