Yellow Spot 12 Years Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 46% vol. 0.7 l in a gift box

The Yellow Spot Whiskey, a single pot still whisky, was launched in London on 23 May 2012. A defining feature of Yellow Spot is its maturation period of at least 12 years, during which it is aged in three different types of cask: bourbon barrels, sherry butts and Málaga casks. This variety in cask maturation gives it a broad spectrum of flavour notes.

Irish Distillers are behind the production of the Yellow Spot, continuing the time-honoured Linie of Mitchell & Son. As early as the first third of the 20th century, Mitchell & Son had brought innovative whiskies to market with the Spot Whiskey range, comprising the Green Spot, Yellow Spot, Blue Spot and Red Spot. Each of these designations reflected a different maturation period and combination of casks, giving them their own unique flavour profiles.

By continuing this tradition, Irish Distillers emphasises the importance of craftsmanship and historical heritage in whisky production. At the same time, the complexity and quality of the Yellow Spot demonstrate the ongoing innovation and adaptability in the production of Irish whiskies.

Nose: Honey, peaches, hints of pepper and nutmeg.

Palate: Elegant, sweet, coffee, hints of spice and oak.
