The Don Papa 7 Years Old Small Batch Rum - Old Edition is based entirely on sugar cane from the Philippine island of Negros, which was considered the country's "sugar bowl" for over a century. One of the sweetest and highest quality sugar cane varieties in the world grows here, which forms the basis for this characteristic rum. Don Papa bears the name of one of the few known heroes of the Philippine revolution, who worked as a simple foreman on a sugar cane plantation before fighting for independence. The rum is distilled at the foot of the Mount Kanlaon volcano and matures for seven years in American oak barrels, the influence of which decisively shapes its soft, sweet flavour. A selection of different barrels is then carefully blended and bottled in small batches, giving the Old Edition its expressive, harmonious character.


The combination of regional sugar cane, volcanic terroir and tropical maturation creates a distillate with a pronounced sweetness, gentle structure and warm, fruity accents.
