Collection: Black Tot Rum

The name "Black Tot" dates back to 31 July 1970, when the British Royal Navy issued the last official "Tot" of Black Tot Rum to its sailors. This day became known as "Black Tot Day" and marked the end of a tradition dating back over 300 years. Black Tot Rum was created to preserve the legacy of this tradition and to maintain the distinctive taste of Navy rum for future generations.

Black Tot Rum pays homage to the centuries-old practice of rum rations in the Navy and represents the authentic flavour of the rum enjoyed on board ships. Today, Black Tot Rum is synonymous with quality and history, offering a unique rum experience that respects the tradition and craftsmanship of the past.

Black Tot Rum is produced using traditional methods that have been employed in rum production for centuries. The rums used in Black Tot come from some of the finest distilleries in the Caribbean and are carefully selected to preserve the rich aroma and complex flavour of navy rum.

After distillation, the rums are matured in oak casks, which gives them their characteristic depth and full-bodied flavour. The final blend takes place in the UK, where the rum is fine-tuned to achieve its perfect balance and distinctive flavour profile.

Black Tot Rum offers a selection of premium rums that preserve the authentic flavour of navy rum whilst making it accessible to the modern connoisseur. Among the best-known varieties are:

• Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum: A carefully crafted blend of rums from Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica. This rum offers a complex aroma with notes of tropical fruits, spices and a hint of smoke. Ideal for enjoying neat or in classic cocktails.
• Black Tot Last Consignment: This rum is a historic blend sourced from the final stocks of Navy Rums. It offers incredible depth and complexity with aromas of dark chocolate, leather and exotic spices. A true treasure for collectors and connoisseurs.
