The distinctive green bottle, with its Celtic-inspired design, reflects the wild beauty of the Irish countryside. The packaging and label emphasise authenticity and recognisability – in keeping with the whisky’s robust character.

Unlike most Irish whiskies, Connemara Whiskey is distilled using peated barley – in traditional copper stills and in small batches. The double distillation preserves its smoky character whilst ensuring a smooth texture.

Connemara focuses on regional ingredients, traditional production methods and a clear sense of place – a statement in support of sustainable whisky culture.

Named after the rugged west coast region of Connemara, this Connemara Whiskey is produced at the Cooley Distillery in County Louth. The use of locally grown barley and spring water from the Cooley Mountains gives it its authentic character.
