Dzama Rhum has been distilling rum using traditional methods since 1980. The rum is matured in selected ex-Scotch whisky casks, predominantly from Chivas Brothers. The production process focuses on purity, with water filtered five times and no artificial additives used whatsoever.

Dzama is committed to working in partnership with local sugarcane farmers and promotes sustainable agriculture in Madagascar. In doing so, the brand helps to preserve the environment and regional identity.

Dzama Rhum has its roots on the island of Nosy Be, off the north-west coast of Madagascar. The sugarcane grows in volcanic soil, surrounded by aromatic plants such as vanilla, ylang-ylang and cloves – these natural influences shape the character of the rum right from the field.
