The bottles feature a classic design with the brand name and stylish labelling – a blend of tradition and modern marketing.

These are classic rum blends: several Caribbean rums are blended together and bottled at an alcohol content of 40–54% ABV. Maturation takes place partly in white oak casks and partly in oak casks – depending on the variant.

Originally produced in Flensburg, the brand was acquired by the Berentzen Group around 2000 and production was moved to Haselünne. The name pays tribute to Germany’s long tradition of rum-making.

The brand embodies German rum tradition with a touch of Caribbean flair – solid, down-to-earth and aimed at consumers who appreciate an uncomplicated taste.

• Hansen PRÄSIDENT 42% ABV 0.7l: A premium blend, named after Reich President Hindenburg and with significant historical ties to Flensburg.
• Genuine Hansen Rum (40%): The classic all-rounder – neutral in aroma, balanced in flavour.
• Hansen Übersee Rum (54%): Higher alcohol content for a more intense rum profile, ideal for cocktails or grog.
• Hansen Golden (37.5%): A smooth, golden variety with a delicate body and a sweet note.

Hansen Rum is ideal for classic German mixed drinks such as grog, cola or long drinks. It is also mild enough to enjoy neat over ice.
