The production process takes years: coffee plants take up to seven years to grow, after which the coffee is dried, roasted and blended with rum. The blend is left to rest for four weeks before being slowly bottled.

Kahlúa is committed to fair coffee production in Veracruz and supports sustainable local farming through programmes such as "Coffee for Good".

Produced in Veracruz, Kahlúa is made from locally grown Arabica coffee beans, which are left to mature in the shade for years before being roasted and processed – for intensity and depth.
