Linkwood enjoys cult status among whisky connoisseurs – often described as having a ‘spring meadow’ character, its floral, fruity notes are highly prized.

Linkwood presents itself in a classic style with a simple bottle, often as part of a conservative Flora & Fauna range. Independent bottlers (e.g. Gordon & MacPhail, The Signatory) appeal to Purists with classic labels and cask-strength releases.

The distillery uses three wash stills and three spirit stills, as well as traditional wooden washbacks. A long fermentation process yields fruity and complex aromas – and since 1962, the distillery has continued to use tried-and-tested still designs.

As a Diageo distillery, Linkwood benefits from sustainable water management and energy efficiency – production in line with modern standards.

Linkwood is situated in the heart of Speyside, drawing its water from the clear waters of the Burn of Linkwood and Millbuie’s Loch. This regional influence shapes its soft, floral character, with notes of apple, pear and summer meadow flowers.

• Flora & Fauna 12 Years: Rich and oily, with notes of nuts, grains and floral sweetness – a dry finish.
• Rare Malts 26–30 years: Rare vintage bottlings with ripe fruit, honey, confectionery and elegant oak spice.
• Single Cask & Independent Releases: Malt-forward cask-strength editions that emphasise floral notes and herbs.
