The Gölles Distillery traces its origins back to the 1970s, when Rupert Gölles began producing fine spirits and vinegars in the South Styria region. Over the past few decades, the Gölles family has made a name for itself as a producer of high-quality spirits, renowned for their authenticity and quality. With the launch of Ruotker’s Whiskey, the family expanded its expertise into whisky production and created an Austrian whisky that has gained international recognition.

Ruotker’s whisky is produced with the utmost care using traditional methods. The process begins with the selection of high-quality local grains, which are carefully malted and distilled. Maturation takes place in oak casks that were previously used to store wines and spirits, giving the whisky its distinctive depth and complexity. The Styrian mountain air and the unique climate also contribute to the maturation process, creating the characteristic flavours that set Ruotker’s whisky apart.
