The Beginnings

The history of Tyrconnell Whiskey dates back to 1762, when the company was founded by Andrew Watt. The distillery, originally based at the Watt Distillery in Derry, Ireland, became renowned for its excellent whiskies. The Tyrconnell brand was named after an award-winning racehorse that surprisingly won a prestigious race.

Growth and Innovation

Over the years, Tyrconnell has continued to expand and develop innovative methods for producing whiskey. Today, Tyrconnell Whiskey is produced by the Cooley Distillery, which is renowned for its high-quality Irish whiskeys.
