El Jimador Tequila Reposado 100% Agave Azul is a high-quality Mexican tequila from Jalisco, made exclusively from 100% blue Weber agave (Agave Azul). This reposado tequila is produced by the traditional Casa Herradura Distillery, one of the oldest and most renowned tequila distilleries in Mexico. The name El Jimador honours the experienced jimadores who harvest the ripe agave plants by hand, creating the basis for authentic agave tequila.

After harvesting, the agave hearts - known as piñas - are gently cooked to release the natural sugars. This is followed by fermentation and double distillation, which creates the characteristic style of this 100% agave tequila. As a tequila reposado, El Jimador is then matured for several months in oak barrels, which gives it additional depth and a particularly harmonious balance between fresh agave and gentle woody notes. At 38% vol., this Mexican reposado tequila is smooth, round and versatile.

It unfolds particularly well in Margarita, Paloma or Tequila Old Fashioned, as the barrel ageing gives the drink additional depth.
