The Lustau PAPIRUSA Manzanilla is an outstanding sherry, renowned for its freshness and finesse. With an alcohol content of 15 % vol., this sherry is produced from the finest Palomino grapes from the Sanlúcar de Barrameda region in Spain. This region, known for its unique climatic conditions and the influence of the Atlantic, offers ideal conditions for the natural ageing process, during which the aromas develop beneath the characteristic ‘Flor’ yeast cap. PAPIRUSA Manzanilla embodies tradition and craftsmanship and has been masterfully vinified by the renowned Lustau house, known for its outstanding quality.

‘Papirusa’, meaning ‘elegant and beautiful’, was the name of a doll that Lustau Emilio gave in the 1940s to the daughter of Joaquín Burgos, the first manager of Bodegas Lustau. This name reflects the elegance and refined character of the sherry. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Lustau PAPIRUSA Manzanilla displays a pale, golden hue that reflects the wine’s freshness and elegance. On the nose, it unfolds a lively bouquet of green apples, citrus fruits and a subtle salty note typical of Manzanilla. On the palate, the wine is dry, with crisp acidity and a wonderfully balanced freshness. Aromas of almonds, dried herbs and a delicate hint of yeast round off the flavour profile. The finish is long and elegant, with a subtle minerality and a salty aftertaste typical of ageing under flor.
