Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer schnapps distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A distinctive feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are organically grown and harvested on the distillery’s own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to packaging the bottles, is carried out by hand and with the utmost care. With the arrival of Hansi Junior, the company underwent a modernisation, reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, which combines tradition and innovation.

Reisetbauer Blue Gin Sloeberry Limited Edition is characterised by the use of organically grown sloes. To produce this gin, the sloes are macerated for several weeks, followed by a gentle pressing process to extract the flavours to the full. This edition is strictly limited and specially designed for the summer months, making it a seasonal speciality.

Tasting Note

Colour: Red.

Nose: Aromatic, peppery, juniper berries, ethereal aromas, coriander, citrus fruits, hints of menthol.

Palate: Spicy, wild berries, sloes.

Finish: Long-lasting, light, spicy, wormwood.

It tastes particularly good neat over ice, as a perfect Sloe Gin & Tonic mix, or in summery cocktails.
