The Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 45% ABV 0.7 l + GB is a unique Japanese whisky, distilled at the renowned Nikka Distillery using traditional Coffey stills, which were originally developed for the production of grain whisky.

This whisky is the second in Nikka’s popular Coffey series, following the Coffey Grain. The Nikka Coffey Malt is made from 100% malt and produced at a single distillery, making it a particularly authentic whisky with a distinctive character. Initially available only in Europe, it quickly conquered the Japanese and international markets too, and has become a favourite amongst whisky lovers worldwide. With an alcohol content of 45% vol., it offers a full-bodied and complex flavour that reflects the characteristic sophistication of Japanese whiskies.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Aromas of fresh citrus fruits, vanilla and a hint of caramel, complemented by a subtle hint of spiced vanilla.

Palate: Smooth, fresh and lively, with notes of wood, pears, pepper and balsamic vinegar.

Finish: Long and smooth, with a pleasant hint of vanilla and a subtle spicy note.

Nikka Coffey Malt is ideal for enjoying neat, to experience the full depth of its flavours. It pairs perfectly with mature cheese, chocolate or as an accompaniment to grilled meat. It is also an excellent choice as a base for whisky cocktails such as a classic Old Fashioned.
