Bunnahabhain 12-Year-Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46.3% ABV 0.05 l online kaufen

The Bunnahabhain Distillery, situated on the picturesque coast of the Isle of Islay, was founded in 1881 and is renowned for its unique, unpeated whiskies. The distillery originally relied on maritime trade and experienced a turning point in 1960 with the construction of a new road, which improved logistics. Following a brief closure in the 1930s and the last ship’s arrival in 1993, the road became the main supply route. In 2006, following its acquisition by Burn Stewart Distillers, the brand’s image underwent a modern revamp. The water used for the whiskies comes from calcareous springs and is channelled to the distillery without coming into contact with peat, which gives the whiskies their mild, characteristic flavour.

Bunnahabhain 12 Years Old is regarded as a true classic amongst Islay whiskies. Matured in a careful combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, this Scotch develops a rich and opulent flavour profile. The typical peaty notes associated with an Islay malt are surprisingly subtle, lending the whisky a particular elegance.
