Rémy Martin was founded in 1724 and is a family-run business. The Rémy Martin estate is situated in the Grande Champagne region of France. This region is also known as a wine-growing area. The grapes used for Rémy Martin come from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.

The Rémy Martin brand’s philosophy is based on good teamwork and innovation.

In 1731, Louis XV’s Accord introduced a law stipulating that the planting of new vines required royal authorisation. Rémy Martin received this authorisation seven years later, in 1738.

Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a blend of around 240 eaux-de-vie, made from 65 per cent Grande Champagne and 35 per cent Petite Champagne grapes, and is aged for between 4 and 20 years in Limousin oak casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Mahogany.

Nose: Plums, figs, creamy toffee.

Palate: Apricots, peaches, hints of spices, caramel and chocolate, a touch of cinnamon and chocolate.

Finish: Long-lasting, creamy.
