The Littlemill Annual 2015 Release - 25 Years Old Private Cellar Edition is an extremely rare and highly prized bottling from the last cask reserves of the legendary Littlemill Distillery, the oldest licensed whisky distillery in Scotland (founded around 1772). The distillery was shut down in 1994 and completely destroyed shortly afterwards - making every official bottling a rare collector's item. This 2015 edition comes from the exclusive Private Cellar Series, with an age of 25 years and limited content per vintage.

For this bottling, some of the last casks - partly refill bourbon, partly Oloroso sherry casks - were married together. It was bottled at natural cask strength with 50.4% vol., naturally not chill-filtered and uncoloured. Each bottle comes in an elegant wooden box with individual numbering and also contains a 0.05 litre miniature for tasting without having to open the collector's item. A real gem for whisky enthusiasts, combining history, craftsmanship and enjoyment at the highest level.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold with an amber sheen.

Nose: Complex, deep and elegant with notes of dried apricots, honey, toasted oak, orange marmalade, almonds and a hint of herbal spice.

Flavour: Oily, rich and structured with flavours of vanilla, nutmeg, candied citrus fruits, toffee, wood spices and a fine sherry nuance.

Finish: Very long, complex and warming with an elegant balance of sweetness, spice and fruit.

This bottling deserves the utmost attention and is ideal for pure enjoyment in a high-quality nosing glass. A few drops of water can help to develop the full spectrum of flavours. The miniature is perfect for a first tasting without uncorking the large bottle.
