The Akashi Meïsei blended whisky 40% vol. 0.5 l + GB comes from the traditional Eigashima Shuzo Distillery, which is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Japan. The name "Meïsei" translates as "famous magic moments" and already indicates the special status of this bottling. It has been created exclusively for the European market and combines the fine craftsmanship of Japanese whisky production with an accessible, harmonious style.


Akashi Whisky Meïsei consists of a high proportion of Japanese single malts matured in American oak casks, complemented by selected grain whiskies. This maturation gives it its round, smooth character and a multi-layered interplay of flavours that makes it interesting for both beginners and connoisseurs. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it is smooth yet complex, and the 0.5 litre bottle in a gift box makes it an ideal choice for connoisseurs of Japanese whiskies.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with warm reflections.

Nose: Soft and balanced, with notes of vanilla, honey, caramel, light oak and gentle fruitiness.

Taste: Round and pleasant, with vanilla, caramel, sweet malt, subtle spices and fine wood flavours.

Finish: Medium-long, soft and harmonious, with vanilla and oak notes.

The Akashi Meïsei blended whisky is ideal for pure enjoyment in a nosing glass, but can also be served on ice or with a drop of water to open up its flavours. In culinary terms, it goes well with sushi, grilled fish or light meat dishes. It also harmonises with sweet desserts such as vanilla pudding or caramel biscuits.
