Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer schnapps distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A distinctive feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are organically grown and harvested on its own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to the packaging of the bottles, is carried out by hand and with the utmost care. With the arrival of Hansi Junior, the company underwent a modernisation process, reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, which combines tradition and innovation.

The robust ‘Mulan’ wheat variety is used to produce Axberg Vodka; it is grown in the fields of Upper Austria and carefully harvested. The ‘Mulan’ wheat variety is characterised by its clean structure, natural fruity sweetness and the absence of added sugar – qualities that make it ideal for the production of Reisetbauer Axberg Vodka. Using the traditional pot-still method in copper stills, distillation continues until a perfect distillate is achieved. The result is an extremely pure and crystal-clear vodka which, despite its purity, retains a delicate flavour. The use of frost and sterilising filters removes all unwanted cloudiness and off-flavours to meet the high quality standards.
