The Chabasse VSOP Cognac, with an alcohol content of 40% vol. in a 0.7-litre bottle and elegant gift box (GB), is a masterful creation from the renowned Cognac Chabasse house, which is located in the picturesque town of Saint-Jean-d'Angély. There, in a magnificent 17th century manor house, the passionate art lover René-Luc Chabasse continues the legacy of his ancestors. His aim was to express the exceptional quality of Cognac Chabasse not only in terms of flavour, but also visually. He therefore designed a curved bottle that perfectly combines beauty, elegance and aesthetics.

To produce the VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), grapes harvested early are pressed into a light, fresh wine. This is distilled twice using the traditional Charentais distillation process and then matured for 4-5 years in Limousin oak barrels. The art of Cognac production is finally revealed in the cuvée, in which different brandies are carefully blended to create a complex, harmonious flavour.

Tasting Note

Colour: Bright gold with warm, amber reflections that reflect the long barrel maturation.

Nose: Complex and expressive with aromas of dried fruit, honey and vanilla, accompanied by subtle notes of wood and spices.

Flavour: Soft, elegant and full-bodied with a perfect balance between fruity, sweet and spicy components. Notes of candied apricots, caramelised nuts and delicate floral hints combine with fine vanilla and roasted notes.

Finish: Langs and harmonious with warm woody and spicy notes, accompanied by a lingering fruity sweetness and a fine, elegant aftertaste.
