Angostura 1824 Premium Caribbean Rum is an exceptional rum that reflects the fine art of rum production at the renowned Angostura distillery. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., this premium rum is the result of a careful selection and blending of various rums aged for twelve years by Angostura’s Master Blender. Once these exquisite rums have been blended, they are stored in American white oak casks for a further period of ageing, which imparts a deep and complex aroma to the rum. Only when the Master Blender deems the ageing process complete is the rum bottled using a manual bottling process to ensure the highest quality and purity.

This rum combines a variety of fruity, spicy and woody notes that blend harmoniously together. The ageing in oak casks imparts warm vanilla and caramel notes that harmonise perfectly with the sweet and fruity Elements. The result is a smooth yet full-bodied rum with a balanced sweetness and an elegant spiciness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Aromas of caramel, vanilla and tropical fruits such as plums and pineapple, accompanied by a subtle hint of oak and a touch of spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and harmonious, with rich flavours of caramel, fresh fruit, a gentle spiciness of cinnamon and cloves, and a light oak note that is perfectly balanced.

Finish: Lang and warm, with a gentle sweetness and an elegant oaky finish that unfolds slowly.

Angostura 1824 Premium Caribbean Rum is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks to intensify the flavours. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses such as Comté or Pecorino, and also harmonises well with dark chocolate or grilled meat. This rum also comes into its own as an after-dinner drink or in a Rum Old Fashioned, offering an all-round harmonious taste experience.
