The Ron Zacapa Centenario 30 Aniversario Riedel Set – Old Edition is a special, limited-edition release created to mark the 30th anniversary of Ron Zacapa. Unlike more recent versions, this ‘old’ edition was not produced using the Solera method, but was matured using traditional methods. This fine rum is based on sugar cane honey, which is matured in the highlands of Guatemala at over 2,400 metres above sea level.

It is aged in a carefully selected range of bourbon whisky and sherry casks, including many Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which impart a profound sweetness. A significant proportion of the blend was also matured in French oak casks that had previously contained sweet Moscatel wine, giving this rum an unrivalled aromatic depth. The rums were blended together over the course of a year to achieve a perfect balance – with an average age of 23 years, this blend offers an exceptionally smooth and complex tasting experience.

This exclusive set contains the Ron Zacapa Centenario 30 Aniversario in an elegant decanter, presented in a luxurious gift case, accompanied by two original Riedel glasses, designed to ensure the perfect tasting experience.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with golden highlights.

Nose: Complex, with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, honey, raisins, toasted nuts and subtle oak spices.

Palate: Velvety and full-bodied, with flavours of candied fruit, sweet sherry, bourbon vanilla, dried fruit, hints of Moscatel and refined spices.

Finish: Exceptionally long and complex, with sweet woody notes, a hint of tobacco, dark cocoa and subtle roasted nuances.
