Cordon Negro is a well-known representative of the Spanish Cava tradition, produced according to the strict specifications of the D.O. Cava (Denominación de Origen Cava). The essential requirements include a minimum ageing period of 12 months in the bottle and the use of specific grape varieties from the renowned Penedès wine-growing region: Parellada, Macabeo and Xarel-lo are the three main grape varieties traditionally used in the production of Spanish cava.

Presented in a black frosted bottle, Cordon Negro is often used as an aperitif or for celebratory occasions such as weddings and birthdays.

Tasting Note

Light lemon yellow in the glass. The nose smells of blossom honey, citrus fruit and yeast biscuits. A well-integrated perlage and flavours of honey, apples, pears and freshness on the palate. Very full-bodied and complex. Long-lasting and pure on the finish.
