Produced at the Kyoto Distillery – Japan’s first gin distillery, located in Minami-ku in the south of Kyoto – this gin embodies the beauty of the seasons, which is also reflected in the meaning of the name ‘Ki No Bi’.

Distilled and bottled in Kyoto, this exclusive gin stands out from classic London Dry Gins through its use of unique Japanese botanicals. Yellow yuzu brings a refreshing citrus note, whilst hinoki wood chips (Japanese cypress) lend a subtle, woody depth. Bamboo provides a gentle balance, whilst goyokuro tea contributes a delicate umami note. The blend is rounded off by green sansho berries (Japanese peppercorns), which lend the gin a gentle, spicy heat. With an alcohol content of 45.7% ABV, KI NO BI unfolds an elegant yet intense aroma, making it a truly distinctive experience.

Tasting Note

Nose: Fresh yuzu citrus notes, floral nuances, subtle woody aromas, spicy sansho pepper.

Palate: Complex and multi-layered, with a harmonious blend of juniper, citrus freshness, spicy pepper and gentle tea and woody notes.

Finish: Long and elegant, with a delicate balance of spices and subtle herbs.

KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin is an excellent choice for a premium gin and tonic, ideally served with Japanese tonic water and garnished with a twist of yuzu or lemon. It also reveals its delicate, multi-faceted aromas in cocktails such as a Martini or an elegant Negroni. Served neat over ice, it showcases its full complexity and elegance.
