Rum Malecon Añejo 5 Años Ron Reserva 40% vol. 0.7 l is a harmonious rum from Panama, produced using traditional Cuban methods. The Rum Malecon brand has made a name for itself worldwide for its high-quality rums, which are patiently aged in selected oak casks, developing their distinctive depth of character in the process.


This Malecon Añejo 5 Años has been aged for at least five years in ex-bourbon casks made from American white oak. During this time, it absorbs both fruity and sweet, spicy aromas, giving it a rounded and smooth flavour profile. With an alcohol content of 40% vol., it is mild, well-balanced and suitable both for drinking neat and for mixing premium cocktails.


The meticulous barrel ageing in a tropical climate results in a rum that, despite its comparatively young age, possesses a surprising depth. It is the ideal introduction to the world of Rum Malecon and impresses with its versatility and authenticity.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber with golden highlights.

Nose: Fruity notes of vanilla, caramel and honey, accompanied by a hint of spice.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, with flavours of sugar cane, caramel, vanilla and subtle wood.

Finish: Medium-length, mild and pleasantly sweet and spicy.

Rum Malecon Añejo 5 Años can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, but also comes into its own in long drinks and cocktails.
