Ron Vacilón Tradicional Añejo 7 Años is a characterful, classic Cuban rum that epitomises authenticity, craftsmanship and tropical ageing. It is produced in the heart of Cuba, in Ciego de Ávila, by the Destilería Heriberto Duquesne, one of the leading distilleries under the umbrella of Cuba Ron S.A. This rum is a true expression of the Cuban distilling tradition – from the cultivation of sugar cane right through to bottling.

Only Cuban molasses and spring water are used to produce this Añejo. It is aged for at least seven years in American white oak casks, which lend the rum depth, warmth and elegance. With an alcohol content of 40 % vol., Ron Vacilón 7 Años is well-balanced and smooth, yet possesses a distinctive aromatic profile that sets it apart from younger varieties.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden brown with an amber sheen.

Nose: Complex, with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, honey, toasted aromas and a hint of tobacco.

Palate: Harmonious, round and smooth with flavours of toffee, caramel, oak, nuts and delicate spice.

Finish: Medium-long to long, warm and elegant with a pleasant, woody sweetness.

The Ron Vacilón Añejo 7 Años is excellent enjoyed neat at room temperature or over a large ice cube to savour its matured flavours. It is also ideal as a premium base for classic cocktails such as a rum Old Fashioned, rum sour or a sophisticated Cuba Libre.
