The Highland Park 10 Years Old Viking Scars is a distinctive bottling from the historic Highland Park Distillery, which has been producing whisky on the Orkney Islands in the far north of Scotland since 1798. The name ‘Viking Scars’ highlights the Orkneys’ historical ties to Nordic culture, which lend the distillery’s whiskies a distinctive identity.


For this bottling, the single malt was matured for at least 10 years in a combination of European oak sherry casks and American oak casks that had previously held sherry. The cask management ensures a harmonious balance of sweetness, fruitiness, spiciness and the light smokiness typical of Highland Park. Bottled at 40% ABV, this whisky is presented without any colouring agents, thus retaining its natural colour and purity. Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber.

Nose: Sweet honey, vanilla, ripe fruit, hints of sherry and a touch of smoke.

Palate: Round and harmonious with notes of oranges, apples, spices, oak and a gentle hint of peat smoke.

Finish: Medium-length, sweet and spicy with hints of sherry and smoke.
