Myers’s Rum Original Dark is a classic, full-bodied Jamaican rum that has been produced according to a traditional recipe since 1879. Named after Frederick Louis Myers, a pioneer of the Jamaican rum-making craft, Myers’s is now recognised worldwide as an authentic dark rum with a robust, aromatic character.

It is produced from 100 per cent pure sugar cane molasses distillate, which is distilled using both pot still and column still methods. The rum is then aged for several years in oak casks, giving it its deep, dark colour and characteristic, complex aroma. The combination of intense notes of molasses, caramel and spices makes it a versatile drink – enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a flavourful base for cocktails.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep mahogany with coppery highlights.

Finish: Long and spicy with lingering notes of dark chocolate and oak.
