Wood’s 100 Old Navy Rum, produced by William Grant & Sons, is a dark rum with a remarkable alcohol content of 57% vol. Distillation takes place in a unique, approximately 250-year-old still made from greenheart wood, a robust native hardwood from Guyana. This rare material contributes to the development of the rum’s complex flavours.

Wood’s, founded in 1887, still produces this rum today according to the original recipe. Traditionally, the rum was served on board ships to sailors, who could dilute it with water as required before drinking.

The rum is made from high-quality sugar cane grown along the Demerara River in Guyana. With its high alcohol content, Wood’s 100 Old Navy is one of the strongest dark rums on the market. Its robust character is not to everyone’s taste, but lovers of intense, full-bodied rums will appreciate its depth and strength.
