WhistlePig 10 Years Old Small Batch Rye Whiskey is an outstanding example of the American rye category and is regarded as the flagship product of the innovative WhistlePig Farm & Distillery in Vermont, USA. Made from 100 per cent rye, this whisky displays an intense spiciness, depth and complexity that can only be found in high-quality straight rye with a long maturation period. The whisky is matured for at least ten years in new, charred American white oak casks, allowing it to develop both strength and aromatic finesse.

The small-batch bottling is at a robust 50% ABV, allowing the flavours to unfold with particular intensity. WhistlePig 10 is produced in small batches and bottled without chill filtration, preserving its natural structure and body. The combination of artisanal distillation, traditional cask maturation and the distinct rye base makes this whisky one of the most expressive rye whiskies on the market.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold with amber highlights.

Nose: Spicy with notes of rye bread, cinnamon, vanilla, oak and a hint of citrus.

Palate: Full-bodied and spicy with notes of nutmeg, toasted wood, caramel and pepper.

Finish: Long and warm with an elegant rye sharpness and a hint of liquorice.

Excellent with hearty meat dishes such as BBQ ribs or smoked bacon. Also pairs superbly with dark chocolate, mature Cheddar or sweet pecan desserts. Perfect on its own or as a base for classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Sazerac or Boulevardier.
