The Kraken Black Spiced is a distinctive rum-based spirit with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, sold in 1-litre bottles, and is renowned for its intense flavour and striking design. Unlike a classic rum, The Kraken is classified as a rum-based spirit, as the matured rum is enhanced with a variety of selected spices. It is made from molasses distillates derived from sugar cane grown in Trinidad and Tobago. After two years’ ageing in ex-bourbon casks, the spirit acquires its unmistakable aroma through the addition of a total of 14 different spices. Its characteristic dark colour is achieved using caramel colouring and emphasises the powerful character of this cult spirit.
