After fermentation, the wine matures for several years in large oak casks to develop its characteristic structure and depth. In the process, its fruity freshness is preserved, whilst it simultaneously gains a pleasant smoothness and balance. This fine Ruby Port is ideal as a dessert wine and pairs particularly well with dark chocolate, fruit tarts or mature cheeses such as Stilton or Gorgonzola.
