Glenfiddich Fire & Cane forms part of the renowned Experimental Series and epitomises the spirit of innovation at the historic Glenfiddich distillery in Speyside. This expression deliberately combines contrasts and draws on the exciting interplay of smoky and sweet Elements. It is based on both peated single malts and classic Glenfiddich malts, which were initially matured in bourbon casks. The whisky was then given an exceptional finish in Latin American rum casks, lending the spirit additional aromatic depth and a distinctive sweetness.


With this approach, the Malt Master deliberately challenges the traditional boundaries of whisky-making and creates a modern single malt that harmoniously combines smoke, fruit and sweetness. At 43% ABV, Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is well-balanced, approachable and yet full of character. The combination of campfire smoke, toffee notes and fresh fruitiness makes this bottling a unique addition to the Glenfiddich range. The stylish gift box (GB) emphasises the special character of this innovative Speyside bottling.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Mellow peaty smoke, like distant smoke in the air, accompanied by sweet toffee, fresh fruity notes and subtle spice.

Palate: A smoky campfire with oak and toffee, alongside green fruits, sweet baked apple and gentle smoke.

Finish: Long-lasting, with balanced smokiness and pleasant sweetness.

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is excellent enjoyed neat or on the rocks, allowing the interplay of smoke and sweetness to unfold particularly well. It also offers exciting possibilities as a base for modern whisky cocktails with a smoky note. Culinary pairings include grilled meat, BBQ dishes, caramelised onions or smoked cheese.
