Description
Description
Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for around three centuries in the parish of Trelawny, which is regarded as the ‘Grand Cru’ of Jamaican rum. In 2009, a new era began in the world of spirits: the company started ageing its Pure Single Rum. Hampden Estate Rum, the only brand specialising in high-proof rums, is renowned worldwide for the diversity of its distillates.
The unique and exceptional Hampden Estate Classic is produced exclusively from the HLCF brand and wins the hearts of rum lovers with its intense and uncompromising taste experience. HLCF stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured and is one of several brands representing rums with a high ester concentration of between 400 and 600 gr/HLPA. This truly refined Hampden is distilled in copper pot stills, using only locally grown sugar cane from the distillery’s surrounding area. It is matured for seven years in oak casks. It is bottled without the addition of colourings or sugar.
