Produced by Licorera Cihuatán, the first and only rum distillery in El Salvador, this rum embodies the country's rich culture and history. The name Cihuatán is derived from an ancient Mayan legend in which a sleeping female spirit watches over the valley and brings prosperity. Matured for 12 years in former bourbon barrels, the Solera blend develops a wonderful depth in which sweet, spicy and woody notes harmonise perfectly.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Seductive aromas of caramel, vanilla, honey, roasted almonds and dried fruit.

Flavour: Full-bodied and smooth with notes of dark chocolate, oak, nutmeg and sweet toffee. A fine spiciness and light citrus nuances round off the flavour profile.

Finish: Langs, smooth and slightly spicy with traces of vanilla, wood and roasted nuts.
