This robust Blanco is produced at the historic Destilería La Alteña in the heart of Los Altos de Jalisco, where conditions are ideal for growing the blue Weber agave. Behind this brand is the renowned Master Distiller Carlos Camarena, one of Mexico’s most famous tequileros, who is celebrated worldwide for his artisanal quality and traditionally produced premium tequilas.


Villa Lobos Distillation Strength Blanco is produced exclusively from 100 per cent blue Weber agave, which is harvested after a maturation period of around eight years and then gently cooked in traditional stone ovens (hornos). Following fermentation and double distillation, the tequila is bottled unfiltered at distillation strength – 55% ABV – just as it comes straight from the still. Aging in wood is deliberately avoided in order to preserve the pure character of the agave and highlight the powerful structure that makes this Blanco so unique.


This tequila is a prime example of artisanal authenticity, intensity and naturalness. With its high alcohol content, it offers a deep, complex spectrum of flavours, ranging from the freshness of the agave to spicy and earthy notes.
