Douglas Laing has updated the name of its well-known ‘Rock Oyster’ Island Blended Malt bottling to ‘Rock Island’, without altering the award-winning contents. Rock Island combines selected single malts from the Scottish islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney, giving it distinctive smoky notes, sweetness and maritime aromas. As part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, Rock Island symbolises the diversity and quality of Scotland’s malt whisky regions.

With a carefully selected blend deeply influenced by maritime aromas, Rock Island pays tribute to the surrounding seas and highlights the whiskies’ distinctive character. As a key part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, Rock Island embodies the close connection to Scotland’s maritime tradition. This connection is celebrated through a harmonious blend of subtle smoky notes and sweet nuances, honouring the islands’ heritage and offering an authentic tasting experience.

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Sandy beach, peat, a hint of ash.

Palate: Oats, notes of black pepper, peat, vanilla.

Finish: Long-lasting, salty, with a hint of pepper.
