STIN Macerated Sloe Gin is an exceptional spirit that delights with its fruity freshness and balanced flavour. With an alcohol content of 27 % vol., this sloe gin is refined through a second maceration process involving the addition of sloe berries and sugar, which gives it an intense, fruity character. STIN Macerated Sloe Gin is distilled in small copper stills to bring out the best in the flavours of the carefully selected 28 botanicals, including the main ingredient, juniper. Distillation is carried out gently and slowly, ensuring that the unique aromas of the botanicals are perfectly extracted.

Alongside juniper, apples from southern Styria and elderflowers from eastern Styria play a central role in the flavour profile of STIN Gin. Fresh citrus notes add a refreshing touch and round off the flavour. After distillation, the gin is diluted to drinking strength using high-quality Styrian spring water and bottled without any flavourings or additives, which contributes to its natural purity and high quality.

Tasting Note

Colour: Ruby red with a slight golden sheen.

Nose: Aromas of fresh citrus fruits, juniper and a subtle fruity sweetness reminiscent of sloes and apples.

Palate: Refreshing and fruity with intense sloe notes and a lovely balance of juniper, apples and elderflower. Light citrus notes give the gin a refreshing depth.

Finish: Long and smooth with a pleasant fruitiness and a mild, spicy note.

This sloe gin is ideal for enjoying neat or as a base for refreshing cocktails. A Sloe Gin Fizz or gin and tonic with a slice of lemon and mint brings out the gin’s fruitiness. It also makes for a refreshing drink when combined with fresh apple juice or sparkling tonic water. STIN Macerated Sloe Gin is also an excellent accompaniment to fruity desserts or cheese, particularly mild varieties such as Brie or Camembert.
