The Marzadro Diciotto Lune Grappa Stravecchia 41% vol. 0.7 litre is one of the best-known and at the same time finest bottlings from the traditional Marzadro distillery in Nogaredo, Trentino. Its name "Diciotto Lune" - meaning "eighteen moons" - refers to the 18 months of maturation of this grappa, which makes it a Stravecchia of exceptional quality.


Selected marc from grape varieties such as Marzemino, Teroldego, Merlot, Muscat and Chardonnay is used in the production process. After distillation using the classic alembic method, the grappa is matured in a combination of small barrels made from different types of wood - including oak, cherry, ash and robinia. This variety of barrel types gives it its extraordinary flavour, which ranges from fruity and floral nuances to sweet and spicy woody notes.


With an alcohol content of 41% vol., Marzadro Diciotto Lune is balanced, smooth and complex. The elegant 0.7 litre bottle underlines the premium character of this bottling, which is a delight both neat and as a digestif.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Harmonious and complex, with notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, honey, almond and fine wood nuances.

Flavour: Soft, round and full-bodied, with aromas of dried fruit, spices, vanilla, cocoa and light sweetness.

Finish: Langs, warm and elegant, with lingering notes of wood and fruit.

The Marzadro Diciotto Lune Grappa Stravecchia is ideal as a digestif after a fine meal and unfolds its full complexity at room temperature on its own. It harmonises perfectly with dark chocolate, almond biscuits or traditional Italian desserts such as panettone or tiramisu. It is also an excellent accompaniment to a mild cigar.
